As a UX Writer I see myself as a designer that creates a good user experience by using text and Information architecture as a tool.

  • I focus on getting the message across using as few words as possible and I remove unnecessary text and I simplify complex concepts. UX writing is also important to create consistency, tone, and style of the text throughout the product. This helps users develop familiarity and builds trust.

  • I create a hierarchy of information and determine which texts appear when and where, and also navigation patterns that help users orient themselves and find what they're looking for.

  • A part of UX Writing is also understanding and representing users' needs and goals and communicating user-centric solutions through word choices and instructions.

At Svea, I work with UX writing in several different business areas to create user friendly and intuitive products. I work closely with UX Designers, and together we create good user experiences in both apps, internal systems and web feeds. My work includes microcopy, educational texts, information architecture and strategic writing in both Swedish and English. I have also worked on Sveas writing guidelines.
